Student Benefit Card Subscription Terms

1. About These Subscription Terms

These Student Benefit Card Subscription Terms ("Subscription Terms") apply to paid Student Benefit Card subscriptions offered through Localink Uni.

They supplement the Localink Uni Student Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between these Subscription Terms and the general Terms of Service concerning the paid subscription, these Subscription Terms will apply to that issue, subject to applicable law.

By purchasing a Student Benefit Card subscription, you agree to these Subscription Terms.

2. Eligibility

The paid Student Benefit Card subscription is available only to users aged 18 or over.

You must have a valid Localink Uni account and satisfy any applicable eligibility and verification requirements.

Free account access, including browsing societies and discovering available benefits, does not require a paid Student Benefit Card subscription.

We may refuse, suspend or cancel a subscription where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, enforce eligibility requirements or comply with applicable law. Any cancellation, refund or other remedy will be handled in accordance with these Subscription Terms and applicable law.

3. Subscription Plans and Prices

The following monthly plans are offered:

  • 3 in One: £4.99 per month, allowing you to select three participating businesses.

  • 5 in One: £5.99 per month, allowing you to select five participating businesses.

  • 10 in One: £8.99 per month, allowing you to select ten participating businesses.

Prices are stated in GBP. Any applicable taxes and the total amount payable will be displayed before you complete your purchase.

The number of businesses included in your plan determines how many participating businesses you may select for access to eligible benefits. It does not guarantee that every business will have an offer available at all times.

Any price change for an existing subscription will be communicated in advance where required by law. We will obtain your agreement where required before charging a revised price.

4. Selecting Participating Businesses

When you subscribe, you may select the number of participating businesses included in your chosen plan.

Your selection determines which participating businesses you can access through your Student Benefit Card.

You cannot change your selected businesses while your subscription remains active, except where Localink Uni provides an expressly permitted exception or applicable law requires otherwise.

If a selected business permanently stops participating, withdraws its relevant offer or can no longer provide the advertised benefit, we may provide a reasonable alternative or another appropriate remedy. This may include allowing a replacement selection, depending on the circumstances.

We will not use the selection restriction to avoid our legal obligations or any remedy to which you are entitled.

5. Subscription Billing and Renewal

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance using the payment method selected at checkout.

Unless otherwise stated before purchase, your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each monthly billing period until cancelled.

Before completing your purchase, you will be shown the applicable price, billing frequency, renewal terms and cancellation method.

You authorise the applicable payment provider to process recurring payments in accordance with your subscription selection and the payment terms presented at checkout.

If a payment fails, we may notify you and allow a reasonable opportunity to update your payment method. Access to paid benefits may be restricted while payment remains outstanding, subject to applicable law and any rights you may have.

We will not charge you for a renewal after an effective cancellation date.

6. Access to Benefits

An active subscription allows you to access eligible benefits at the participating businesses you have selected, subject to the applicable offer conditions.

Each offer may have its own restrictions, including:

  • Validity dates and opening hours.

  • Eligible products or services.

  • Minimum spend or booking requirements.

  • Redemption limits or frequency restrictions.

  • Exclusions, availability and other conditions displayed with the offer.

Repeated use is permitted only where the individual offer's terms allow it. A subscription does not automatically entitle you to unlimited use of every benefit.

You are responsible for reviewing the relevant offer conditions before making a purchase or attempting to redeem a benefit.

Participating businesses remain responsible for supplying their own goods, services and offers, subject to applicable law. Localink Uni does not guarantee the availability of a particular product, service or offer at any given time.

7. Digital Benefit Card and QR Verification

The Student Benefit Card may be provided digitally through the Localink Uni Platform.

To redeem an eligible benefit, you may be required to display a QR code or another verification method.

Verification may be used to check whether:

  • Your subscription is active.

  • The business is among your selected businesses.

  • The QR code or verification token is valid and has not expired or already been used where single-use verification applies.

  • The redemption satisfies the applicable offer conditions.

You must not copy, share, alter, resell or attempt to reuse a verification code in a fraudulent or unauthorised manner.

We may temporarily restrict verification where necessary to investigate suspected fraud or protect the integrity of the service.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription using the cancellation method made available through the Platform or by contacting info@localink.app.

Cancellation will stop future renewals once it takes effect. Unless applicable law or the terms presented at checkout provide otherwise, your paid access will continue until the end of the current billing period.

Cancelling a subscription does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the unused portion of that period, except where a refund is required by applicable law or these Subscription Terms.
